Austin Dean Recruitment is recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Workers, Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers for agency assignments across Kent. Opportunities are available in different settings, including residential care, older people’s and dementia services, supported living, learning disability and autism services, day centres, respite care and rehabilitation services.
The Role
You will provide high-quality personal, practical and emotional support while promoting each individual’s dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care and daily living support
- Assist with mobility, nutrition and hydration
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
- Encourage independence, activities and social engagement
- Maintain accurate and professional care records
- Report changes in health, behaviour or wellbeing
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns
- Follow confidentiality, infection control and health and safety procedures
- Work professionally with colleagues, families and other professionals
Requirements
- At least 12 months’ recent UK care experience
- Previous Care Worker, HCA or Support Worker experience
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- A caring, reliable and person-centred approach
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred
- Care Certificate, Level 2 Diploma or relevant training desirable
