Austin Dean Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Workers / Support Workers to join our agency team due to continued demand from our clients across East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced care professionals looking for regular weekday work with no weekend commitments.
The Role
As a Care Worker / Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and other complex needs. You will play a key role in empowering individuals to live as independently as possible whilst promoting their dignity, choice, rights, and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
Providing person-centred support tailored to individual needs
Promoting independence and daily living skills
Supporting Service Users with personal care where required
Assisting with communication and social interaction
Encouraging participation in activities and community engagement
Supporting individuals to make informed choices and decisions
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Assisting with meal preparation and healthy living
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately
Working in accordance with care plans, risk assessments, and organisational policies
Building positive relationships with Service Users, families, and colleagues
Requirements
Minimum 12 months' experience working within the UK Care Sector
Experience supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
Enhanced DBS Certificate (registered on the DBS Update Service)
Right to Work in the UK
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach
Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (Desirable)
Mandatory Training Certificates (Desirable)
