This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or senior healthcare manager who wants genuine ownership of a service and the opportunity to make an impact. Our client operates a high-quality, patient-focused healthcare environment with strong governance foundations and is entering an exciting period of planned growth. This is not a desk-based corporate management position. We are looking for a visible, practical and hands-on leader who is comfortable taking responsibility for CQC compliance, governance, people management, patient experience, facilities and the day-to-day running of a regulated healthcare service. The Role As Hospital Operations & CQC Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring the service remains safe, compliant, organised and inspection-ready while supporting its continued growth. Your responsibilities will include: * Acting as the CQC Registered Manager and maintaining continuous regulatory readiness. * Leading the day-to-day operational management of the healthcare facility. * Ensuring compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and relevant healthcare regulations. * Leading governance, audits, risk management, incidents, complaints and improvement plans. * Ensuring actions arising from audits, inspections and governance processes are completed and evidenced. * Managing and developing staff, including performance, attendance, capability and conduct matters. * Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, mandatory training, competencies and workforce compliance. * Maintaining oversight of health & safety, facilities, contractors, equipment and business continuity. * Supporting effective patient pathways and maintaining an excellent patient experience. * Working closely with senior clinical leaders and other key stakeholders. * Monitoring operational and financial performance and supporting the organisation's growth plans. * Ensuring the service remains CQC-ready every day, rather than simply preparing for inspections. About You We are particularly interested in candidates who have: * Substantial management experience within a CQC-regulated healthcare environment. * Current or previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager, or significant senior management experience demonstrating readiness to become registered. * Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, Fundamental Standards, governance, safeguarding, risk management, complaints and quality assurance. * Experience maintaining or improving regulatory compliance and inspection readiness. * Strong people-management and leadership experience. * Experience managing audits, policies, action plans, risk registers and governance systems. * The confidence to challenge poor or unsafe practice and ensure corrective actions are completed. * Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills. * A practical, hands-on leadership style and the ability to work independently. Experience does not necessarily need to come from an acute hospital environment. Applications are welcomed from suitably experienced managers from nursing, dentistry, primary care, independent healthcare, hospitals or other appropriate CQC-regulated healthcare settings. Desirable Experience Experience within private healthcare, independent hospitals, surgical/day-case services or elective healthcare would be particularly advantageous. Experience of consultant onboarding, practising privileges, healthcare facilities management and business continuity would also be beneficial. Package £45,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and expertise, together with a performance-related bonus scheme. The position is primarily site-based in the Bristol area and includes participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota. Interested?
