Plater – welder £16 – £18+ per hour DOE Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will need to be time served /apprentice trained, have a strong background in working with metal components, including experience with hand tools and power tools. As a Plater, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal parts to meet precise specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. Site experience would be an advantage but not essential Responsibilities * Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand tools and power tools. * Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate materials and processes required. * Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to join metal parts securely. * Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet established standards. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. * Collaborate with team members to optimise production efficiency and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. * Utilise basic maths skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.
