As a Lift Engineer, you will be responsible for
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on passenger, goods, and platform lifts.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise equipment downtime.
- Attend lift breakdowns and emergency call-outs as required.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work complies with current legislation and industry standards.
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately and on time.
- Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in good working order.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in the on-call rota where applicable.
The ideal candidate
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent recognised qualification) β Essential.
- Proven experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing lifts.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of current lift regulations and safety standards.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
