As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of piling rigs and associated equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of mechanical and electrical expertise, with the flexibility to travel across the UK at short notice.
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Service, maintain, and repair piling rigs and heavy plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on-site.
- Work independently at customer locations, often under tight schedules.
- Maintain accurate service records and report any issues promptly.
- Participate in product training and implement new techniques and updates from manufacturer guidance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
Mechanical-Focused Candidate:- Proven experience in heavy plant maintenance and mechanical repair.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Understanding of 24v electrical systems; CANBUS knowledge advantageous.
- Ability to travel UK-wide at short notice, including overnight stays.
- Experience working with 24v electrical systems and CANBUS.
- Mechanical knowledge advantageous but not essential.
- Willingness to travel and work under similar conditions as mechanical role.
