London-based hedge fund seeking an experienced Equity Trader to join a five-person investment team managing $1bn+ GMV across long-only and long/short strategies. The long/short fund runs a 30 long / 40 short book at +/-20% net exposure, trading around news flow, earnings, events, and catalysts. It returned 24% last year. The long-only strategy returned 40%, concentrated book of ~15 stocks.
You will execute trades across global equities and derivatives, working closely with PMs in a fast-paced environment handling 20–30 trades per day. Execution quality and speed are critical.
Responsibilities- Execute global equity trades across regions
- Trade options, equity derivatives, and index futures
- Implement ideas around earnings, corporate events, and news flow
- Manage hedging, beta exposure, and tactical risk
- Optimise execution across brokers and venues
- Provide market colour and liquidity insight to PMs
- Hedge fund or buy-side trading background
- Strong experience trading global equities
