A leading law firm is seeking an experienced senior contentious probate practitioner to lead an established team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years PQE and could be an existing partner or senior associate looking to step up. Flexible working arrangements and hybrid options are available, with the choice of base office locations across three sites. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and lead the contentious probate team while receiving strong support from a collegiate and ambitious firm. You’ll manage high-value cases, mentor colleagues, build client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage contentious probate matters, providing strategic advice to clients.
- Handle a diverse caseload, encompassing disputes relating to wills, estates, trusts, and inheritance.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional development.
Criteria:
- Extensive experience in contentious probate law, with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
- Proven track record of successfully handling complex probate disputes.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a demanding caseload effectively.
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with experience in representing clients in court.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to build strong client relationships.
