We are working with a Top 50 UK law firm that is expanding its nationally recognised regulatory team in Leicester. The firm is seeking a junior solicitor (NQ-3 PQE) to join a specialist team advising major corporate clients, insurers, and public bodies on Health & Safety, Motor Crime, and Inquest work. This is an excellent opportunity to build a highly sought-after niche in regulatory defence, working alongside experienced partners on high-profile matters with real societal impact.

The Role:

  • Advising on and defending clients in investigations by the HSE, police, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Managing and supporting cases involving road traffic fatalities, corporate manslaughter, and breaches of health & safety legislation.
  • Representing clients at inquests and supporting internal investigations and crisis response.
  • Early exposure to client meetings, interviews under caution, and advocacy opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • England & Wales qualified solicitor (or due to qualify), with up to 3 years' PQE.
  • Previous experience in regulatory, health & safety, inquests, or criminal defence is desirable.
  • Confident communicator with a calm, pragmatic approach under pressure.
  • Strong interest in developing expertise in regulatory investigations and advocacy.
