Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Construction Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE to join their thriving team in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious solicitor with prior experience in construction law to further develop their career in a supportive, dynamic environment.

As a Construction Solicitor, you will work with a varied and interesting caseload, advising both private and commercial clients on a range of construction-related legal matters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on construction contracts, procurement processes, and dispute resolution.
  • Representing clients in construction litigation, including adjudications, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, subcontracts, and related documents.
  • Providing legal support on construction projects, from inception through to completion.
  • Offering strategic advice on risk management, delays, extensions of time, and performance issues.
  • Supporting clients on construction-related regulatory issues, including health and safety and environmental compliance.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified solicitor with 2+ years PQE, with specific experience in construction law.
  • Prior experience handling construction disputes and transactional matters.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Knowledge of the Construction Act, NEC, JCT, and other relevant construction legislation.
  • Experience in handling both contentious and non-contentious construction matters is highly desirable.
