Austen Allen Homecare is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and flexible Overnight Sleep-In Carer to support our clients overnight in the comfort of their own homes.
+ Location: Various client locations across Thanet
+ Hours: Typically 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Flexibility required)
+ Pay: £70 per 8-hour sleep shift (if undisturbed)
+ Waking time rate: Enhanced rate (time assisting the client must be documented.)
About the Role:
You will provide peace of mind and security to our clients during the night. While this is a sleep-in position, you must be ready and able to provide assistance if required. Duties may include, but are not limited to, helping with toileting, repositioning, administering medication, or offering emotional reassurance.
Key Details:
+ Our standard shift runs from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
+ Flexibility may be required on either side of these hours, depending on the client\'s needs.
+ £70 per 8-hour shift if you are not woken to provide care.
+ If woken, time spent assisting the client must be documented and will be paid at an enhanced rate.
Requirements:
+ Previous care experience is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
+ Reliable and calm under pressure, and upon being woken.
+ Ability to document any support provided during the night.
+ Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
