The Digital Communications Specialist will lead the strategy and execution of all digital and social media initiatives, ensuring a cohesive and impactful online presence. The role encompasses internal and external communications platforms. The Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for managing digital marketing campaigns, overseeing content creation, and analysing performance metrics to optimize engagement across platforms.
Role and responsibilities:- Digital & Social Media
- Develop and implement digital strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and optimize the company website and social media platforms.
- Plan, execute, and monitor digital marketing campaigns.
- Create and curate engaging content for digital channels.
- Analyse digital performance metrics and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Develop and execute internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Manage the employee portal/intranet and internal newsletter (“The Voice”).
- Coordinate internal campaigns, announcements, and recognition initiatives.
- Support leadership in delivering consistent and effective internal messaging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align digital efforts with broader marketing and organizational goals.
- Contribute to company initiatives that enhance employee experience and brand reputation.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Digital Marketing Principles: Understanding of SEO, SEM, content marketing, email marketing, and paid media strategies.
- Social Media Strategy: Knowledge of platform-specific best practices (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, etc.) and trends.
- Analytics & Reporting: Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, and social media dashboards to track KPIs and optimize performance.
- Internal Communications: Understanding of employee engagement strategies, internal messaging, and communication platforms.
- Content Management Systems (CMS): Experience with platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or similar.
- Brand Management: Knowledge of brand tone, visual identity, and consistency across digital channels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing and/or communications.
