auryx builds software that extracts health data from sound. We turn ordinary microphones into health sensors, enabling continuous monitoring of cardiovascular and respiratory signals using audio alone. Clinicians have listened to the body to assess heart and lung health for centuries. auryx takes this familiar clinical idea and makes it scalable, using AI and software to bring continuous listening out of the clinic and into everyday consumer devices equipped with microphones, starting with earbuds. Rather than building devices ourselves, we build software that gives existing devices a second purpose, turning products people already own and wear into continuous health monitors, with no new hardware required. Our technology is built on cutting‑edge research from the University of Cambridge and integrates directly into consumer devices already in the market. We work directly with global consumer electronics OEMs and platform partners, starting with pilots and progressing toward commercial deployment.
The Role
As an Account Executive at auryx, you will be responsible for converting successful OEM pilots into commercial licensing agreements. You will work within large, complex organisations, navigating technical, product, commercial, procurement, and legal stakeholders to drive momentum from proof of value to commercial commitment. You will take ownership of active OEM relationships, expanding them across teams and use cases, and helping shape a repeatable pilot‑to‑licence motion. You will work closely with the founders on deal strategy, pricing, and negotiation, while owning the day‑to‑day execution required to move opportunities forward. This is a high‑impact role with significant responsibility and exposure. As auryx’s first Account Executive, you will help define how we sell, while building the foundations of a scalable commercial function.
The Impact You Will Have
- Build, grow, and maintain pipeline: Reactivate warm conversations, manage inbound interest, and identify new OEM targets aligned with our ideal customer profile.
- Convert pilots to revenue: Lead existing proofs of concept through to signed licensing agreements, driving commercial terms and internal alignment on both sides, in close collaboration with the founders.
- Own strategic OEM relationships: Build and manage relationships across technical, product, commercial, procurement, and legal stakeholders within target OEMs.
- Run a disciplined sales process: Qualify opportunities, build internal champions, manage complex decision cycles, and maintain clear deal status, timelines, and next actions across the pipeline.
- Shape our commercial model: Contribute to the evolution of pricing, contract structures, and licensing frameworks as we move from bespoke deals to repeatable commercial agreements.
- Navigate organisational and geographic complexity: Progress deals across multiple regions (UK, US, Asia) and stakeholder groups within large organisations.
- Build early sales infrastructure: Develop and iterate core customer‑facing sales assets and processes, including value narratives, technical and commercial FAQs, account plans, and mutual action plans.
What We Look For
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise, strategic, or technical sales roles, ideally involving software, deep tech, or technology licensing.
- Prior experience selling to OEM‑style customers or complex B2B buyers (for example, consumer electronics, semiconductors, hardware‑software platforms, or similarly complex ecosystems).
- Demonstrated ability to convert technical or pilot‑stage engagements into commercial agreements.
- Experience using structured sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDPICC, Challenger), with the judgement to apply them pragmatically in early‑stage, complex sales environments.
- Strong at building internal champions and multi‑threaded relationships across senior technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Willing and able to create sales materials, narratives, and processes as needed, rather than relying on existing enablement.
- Clear, confident communicator who can represent auryx credibly with senior OEM stakeholders.
- Experience working in early‑stage or scaling companies is advantageous but not required.
What We Offer
- Ground‑floor opportunity to build the sales function at a pioneering deep‑tech startup.
- Competitive base salary with commission structure tied to license revenue.
- Equity options giving you a stake in the company’s success.
- Meaningful ownership and the opportunity to shape how sales is built from the ground up.
- Flexible working.
- Generous holiday policy: 25 days + bank holidays + 1 personal life event day.
- Pension scheme with employer contributions above the statutory minimum.
