Data Engineer

Our client, a leading global investment management firm, is seeking a Data Engineer to join an experienced team. You will be responsible for managing the data that powers all aspects of the business, whether that\’s investment, business or technical.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Act as a technical stakeholder, evaluating new and existing data products and liaising directly with vendors.
• Data Transformation: Use Python to translate vendor products into optimized datasets ready for trading system consumption.
• Quality Assurance: Design and maintain automated data quality tests to ensure all datasets meet the rigorous standards of quantitative strategies.
• Operational Support: Ensure the reliability of day-to-day operations by monitoring pipelines and resolving real-time technical issues.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• Technical Skills: 4+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Data Expertise: Proven experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Communication: Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in supporting real-time operational systems.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon S3, Airflow, Kafka, or Docker.
