We’re looking for a standout Production Technology Engineer to join our award‑winning team. Based in our London studio, you’ll work closely with our production crews to power the technical backbone of our pre‑production, post‑production, and cloud workflows. You’ll oversee media systems, storage, networks, and camera tech - keeping everything running smoothly from capture to ingest to edit to final delivery – and manage our super talented team of Media Managers and Resource Coordinators. This role mixes hands‑on engineering with workflow automation, rapid problem‑solving, and close collaboration across editorial and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain post‑production systems, shared storage, networks, and production devices.
  • Support cameras and field equipment, ensuring production readiness.
  • Define, document, and optimise end‑to‑end workflows across ingest, editing, finishing, archive, and delivery; implement SLAs and recovery objectives.
  • Standardise naming conventions, folder structures, and metadata for faster, more efficient editorial workflows.
  • Map and optimise data flows between edit systems, MAM/DAM, storage tiers, and delivery platforms; troubleshoot bottlenecks.
  • Oversee ingest, digitisation, and transcoding pipelines; manage storage tiering and lifecycle policies.
  • Coordinate secure media transfers and client deliveries; support proxy/hi‑res workflows and handoffs between capture, studio, and post‑production.
  • Develop automation and orchestration using scripting and APIs; implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Maintain backup, archive, disaster recovery, and compliance procedures meeting company policy.
  • Collaborate with Production, Editorial, and Delivery teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Provide user training, documentation, and best‑practice guidance; manage vendors and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Act as the technical authority on all in‑house and facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Broadcast Technology, Media Engineering, Computer Science.
  • Strong understanding of sports, entertainment, long‑form, or fast‑turnaround production workflows.
  • Broad knowledge of industry standards.

Required Skills:

  • Systems & Storage: macOS/Unix, Windows; NAS/SAN and cloud object storage.
  • Media & Transcoding.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Customer‑focused, and improvement‑driven.
  • Networking & Security.
