We’re seeking a talented Shooting Producer/Editor to join our Creative Editorial team. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller who is as confident behind the camera as they are in the edit suite. Working across Aurora’s portfolio of global sports and branded projects, you will plan, film, and edit dynamic content for broadcast, digital and social platforms. From live broadcast events and behind the scenes to athlete profiles and branded digital storytelling, you will take projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring every piece reflects Aurora’s premium production values. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role requiring initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently or as part of a wider production team. International travel and on‑location shoots are a core part of the position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Story & Editorial: Pitch and shape audience‑first stories for broadcast, YouTube and social. Develop ideas, formats and treatments with the creative team and clients. Write scripts/questions as needed and direct interviews. Use strong editorial judgement, including on fast turnaround content.
- Shooting & Production: Self‑shoot strong visuals and clean audio across sport, brand and original content. Plan shoots: schedule, access, kit, contributors and logistics. Direct single‑camera shoots and interviews. Own H&S and follow Aurora/client compliance.
- Editing & Post‑Production: Edit short and long form with pace and craft; deliver on brief and on spec. Cut platform‑native versions for broadcast, YouTube and social platforms. Finishing and QC (colour, audio, graphics as needed) to agreed workflows and delivery specs. Manage media, archive and assets with tidy project structure. Partner with Producers/Senior Producers to deliver on time, on budget and on spec. Build trusted relationships with clients, talent and contributors. Brief and look after on‑screen talent and contributors. Collaborate across Aurora teams and external partners.
- General: Maintain Aurora’s premium standards and brand/client guidelines. Track platform trends and apply social‑first storytelling. Travel and work flexibly around live events. You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Track record in shooting, editing and delivering premium content for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Proficiency with Adobe CC (Premiere Pro essential; After Effects/Photoshop is a plus).
- Confident with Professional cameras, sound and lighting; able to capture clean audio in tough environments.
- Strong storytelling instincts and editorial judgement; works fast and independently.
- Comfortable scripting, interviewing and directing single‑camera shoots.
- Understanding of file‑based workflows and delivery specs; disciplined asset management.
- Understands compliance, rights (music/archive) and GDPR basics.
- Happy to travel and work flexibly (incl. occasional unsocial hours).
- 1 to 5 years experience.
- Practical knowledge of Sony FX9/A7S III and similar professional cameras.
- Strong finishing: grade, mix and delivery.
- Host broadcast / major international events experience.
- Experience in using Digital asset management platforms.
- Basic motion graphics and animation.
- Comfortable using platform analytics to inform content and refine edits.
- Full UK driving licence.
