We are a leading energy services company seeking experienced Statutory Inspection Technicians to join our wind turbine O&M division.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of inspections on wind turbine components and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards such as LEEA and ISO 17020. You will play a key role in maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of our customers wind turbine assets, working on rotations at offshore wind farms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform statutory inspections on wind turbine components, including lifts, ladders, fall arrest systems, pressure systems, and anchor points.
  • Ensure all inspections comply with national and international standards, including PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, and Working at Height Regulations.
  • Use inspection tools, such as load test equipment, to assess the condition of components.
  • Document inspection findings accurately using maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS, SAP) and produce detailed reports.
  • Identify and report any non-conformities, safety hazards, or areas requiring repair or improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure the safe operation of turbine systems.
  • Support compliance audits and certification processes for standards such as LEEA and ISO17020.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in statutory inspections.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in statutory inspections, preferably within Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) wind turbines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and legislation, including PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, WAH Regulations, and ISO 17020.
  • LEEA certification or equivalent qualification in statutory inspections.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment (e.g., Load Cells)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce thorough inspection reports.
  • Current and valid GWO (Global Wind Organisation) mandatory certifications, e.g., Working at Height, First Aid, and Manual Handling.
  • Current and valid Offshore certifications (e.g., HUET, OPITO, etc.)
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in challenging environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians and departments.
