We are a leading energy services company seeking experienced Service and Maintenance Technicians to join our wind turbine O&M division.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing offshore wind turbines, ensuring their optimal performance and safety. You will play a key role in maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of our customers\’ wind turbine assets, working on rotations at offshore wind farms.
Must have experience in installation of Nordex Wind Turbines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform regular service and maintenance on Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SGRE wind turbines according to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing turbine systems, including gearboxes, generators, electrical components, and hydraulic systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and software (e.g., SCADA, TCM) to monitor turbine performance and identify issues.
- Follow SGRE maintenance protocols and safety standards, ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations.
- Document maintenance activities, turbine condition, and parts used in maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
- Collaborate with engineering teams and project managers to ensure timely completion of service tasks.
- Conduct inspections to assess turbine health and suggest improvements or preventive measures.
- Support the installation of retrofits or upgrades on SGRE turbines as needed.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in servicing and maintaining SGRE wind turbines, including hands‑on experience with specific SGRE models.
- Knowledge of SGRE diagnostic tools and control systems (e.g., SCADA, Condition Monitoring Systems).
- Relevant technical qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent field experience.
- Strong understanding of SGRE’s safety protocols and the ability to follow strict safety guidelines.
- Current and valid GWO (Global Wind Organisation) mandatory certifications, e.g., Working at Height, First Aid, and Manual Handling.
- Current and valid Offshore certifications (e.g., HUET, OPITO, etc.).
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in challenging environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians and departments.
