We are looking for an experienced Group QHSE Manager to join our team in Aberdeen. They will be responsible for leading, and continuously improving the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy across all operations. The role ensures full regulatory compliance, risk reduction, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture aligned with the company’s business objectives in the energy sector.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a key member of the executive leadership team, advising on QHSE risks, performance, and improvement opportunities.
- Further enhance the safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and international QHSE regulations and standards.
- Maintain and continuously improve QHSE management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
- Lead risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP processes, and environmental impact evaluations.
- Oversee QHSE performance across the group including internally and externally on client sites.
- Ensure effective incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monitor KPIs such as TRIF, LTIF, near-miss reporting, quality non-conformances, and environmental metrics.
- Drive contractor and supplier QHSE qualification and performance monitoring working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Ensure consistent quality standards across all services, projects, and deliverables.
- Lead audits, management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support operational teams in achieving client quality expectations and contract requirements.
- Develop and oversee QHSE training, competency, and awareness programs.
- Promote leadership engagement, behaviour-based safety, and workforce participation in QHSE initiatives.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Ability to travel
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly develop, establish and sustain solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Champions change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001)
- 10+ years of QHSE experience, including senior leadership roles.
- Strong background in energy services, oil & gas, power, or renewables.
- Proven experience managing QHSE in high-risk operational environments (onshore/offshore).
- Demonstrated success leading audits, regulatory inspections, and client reviews.
