About the position

Aurora’s Software Solutions team is building the global investment analytics platform for the energy transition. Widely adopted by leading energy asset owners, operators, developers, and investors, the platform changes the way energy market analytics are performed and delivered. Aurora is developing a global technical Customer Success team to provide the critical end-to-end human interface between the software and the end user. We are looking for a driven Senior Power Markets Analyst to join our team in Oxford, supporting our software suite across Europe. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of power markets, strong analytical skills, and client-facing experience. They should be a quick learner, collaborative, and capable of translating complex software data into actionable insights for clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Empower developers, utilities, and funds to deploy capital in the energy transition using Aurora’s software for investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with European Advisory teams to perform analyses for client projects, enabling access to pre-release features and insights.
  • Support client transactions by performing market analyses and asset valuations using Aurora’s software.
  • Assist in troubleshooting client software questions with internal teams.
  • Shape the evolution of Aurora’s software suite by working with Product and Software Development teams.

What we are looking for

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in an analytical role, preferably in engineering, business, economics, or similar fields.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and communication skills, with confidence in client-facing situations.
  • Results-driven with persistence and a hands-on approach.
  • Team player with a successful track record in collaborative environments.
  • European power market analytics experience, with knowledge of power market models.
  • Professional exposure to energy and power markets; prior client-facing experience is a plus.
