Aurora’s Research department is seeking a results-oriented Senior Analyst to join our analytics and client-facing services team for the GB market, based in our Oxford office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and research to support Aurora’s market insights and strategic perspectives
- Monitor and interpret policy developments relevant to the GB market
- Work with Aurora’s proprietary modelling tools to develop forecasts and scenario-based insights
- Communicate findings clearly and effectively to a wide range of clients, both in person and online
- Contribute to Aurora’s publications, including reports, briefing notes, and client communications
Required Attributes
- Experience in analytical roles within Research, Advisory, Software or Modelling
- Proven ability to organise and manage their own time
- Proven ability to interpret and derive insight from complex quantitative data and information
- Ability to communicate clearly and co-operate effectively with both technically and non-technically minded people
- Self-starting, entrepreneurial mind-set, and desire to grow the business
Desirable Attributes
- Experience of power markets, in GB or another context
- Experience working on financial markets or project finance
- Demonstrated success in working together with clients
- Competence in advanced data analytics (Python, R, Matlab, Advanced Excel)
