Chronos helps investors, developers, and utilities navigate complex energy storage and RES investments, directly influencing how these assets are deployed across global markets. We are looking for a highly capable Product Manager to join one of our modelling squads, working on the foundational modelling capabilities and methodology behind asset dispatch.
The product here is the model itself - its methodology, its accuracy, and what it is able to represent. Building the application interface sits with other squads; you will partner with them, not work in them. You will own the roadmap for your product area and be accountable for your squad's mission and which problems the squad takes on to reach it. These are complex projects, and you will have a big role in how your squad executes them - proactively removing risk, testing the riskiest assumptions cheaply before committing build effort, and delivering value incrementally. You will have support from product leadership, your tech lead, and the wider modelling group, but you will be trusted to set direction and defend your decisions without close supervision. You will develop a deep understanding of storage and RES sector trends and translate them into actionable product requirements, building that understanding first-hand through sustained direct contact with our clients.
The successful candidate will be a strong first-principles problem solver, combining strong analytical skills with an evidence-led approach to product decisions and an intrinsic drive to improve team-based outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategy for the squad and execute against it
- Own the squad's roadmap, and explain and defend it to stakeholders
- Play a leading role in your squad's project management alongside your tech lead, executing to a high standard and removing risk proactively
- Develop a deep understanding of our users through regular direct contact, and represent the customer's voice within the squad
- Work cross-functionally with modellers, software engineers, and analysts to build capabilities that are robust, defensible, and genuinely valuable
- Collaborate on methodological discussions, ensuring that analytical insights are accurate, interpretable, and actionable
- Become a domain expert, distilling complex market and asset realities into requirements
- Mentor and develop more junior members of the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-quality execution
Required attributes
- Typically 4+ years in a software product role, including sustained ownership of software-enabled outcomes at product-area or squad level. Demonstrated scope matters more than exact tenure or title
- Proven ability to execute on complex projects
- Strong product management craft: driving analytical product development and owning high-impact product decisions, balancing strategic priorities against execution
- Works iteratively and evidence-led, focused on outcomes over output
- Operates autonomously: comfortable setting direction and making decisions without close oversight, and knows when to pull in support
- Quick, self-directed learner able to master complex technical domains, with a genuine desire to work in energy and go deep into power market and storage/RES economics
- Excellent ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity in decision-making
- Sound judgement on where AI can improve work, with the ability to evaluate outputs critically and remain accountable for decisions
- Drive to improve team-based outcomes, from aligning diverse stakeholders to supporting people development
Desirable attributes
- Substantial hands-on experience using AI to improve the quality, speed, or scope of a team or shared workflow
- Experience in analysis and/or modelling of power market economics, renewables, or battery storage

- Dental Insurance
