This is a fixed-term position, running until the end of the year. AurorA Energy Research is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations professional to join the Internal Technology team. The role is key to expanding the team and technology offerings for our growing user base.

Location: Oxford, UK. Department: Internal Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Ownership: Take ownership of Dynamics 365 F&O as the ERP system, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and alignment with business objectives. Continually evaluate the system’s technical aspects and implement improvements and optimisations in line with change management processes.
  • Collaborative Support: Work with Finance and other business owners to provide technical support, improve training materials and internal processes, and act as an escalation/mentoring point for the Support Engineer role.
  • Strategic Guidance: Guide the technical strategy for Dynamics 365 F&O, translating business requirements into technical solutions. Collaborate with Engineering on integrations with other systems in the estate.
  • Systems Expertise: Be the Subject Matter Expert for all Finance Systems and configuration (Dynamics 365 F&O). Advise users and work with the Finance Systems support function to ensure training and support.
  • Systems Management: Own Finance Systems strategy across current and future systems, maintaining a roadmap for the Finance team within the broader systems strategy.
  • Change Management: Champion best practices within the Finance department and represent changes at the systems Change Advisory Board. Coordinate with third-party vendors to prioritise and manage changes.
  • Vendor Management: Own vendor management for Finance systems, conduct service reviews, run market reviews, and contribute to RFPs for new or existing systems as needed.
  • Systems Reporting: Develop and provide reporting on system performance and user satisfaction. Define and deliver reports for the Finance department, or implement additional reporting solutions as required.

What we are looking for

  • Functional experience with Dynamics 365 F&O, preferably in an end-user setting
  • Proven experience in technical ownership or functional consultancy of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Strong understanding of ERP system architecture and Dynamics 365 F&O functionalities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including senior business stakeholders, to define objectives and translate requirements into deliverables and roadmaps
  • Experience creating knowledge articles, documenting processes, and best practices
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Flexible, positive, can-do attitude and team player
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, managing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Power Automate / Logic Apps / Power Platform experience
  • Power BI experience
  • Experience in a global organisation with a Finance focus
  • Accounting knowledge
  • Payroll software experience
