Aurora is currently seeking a Finance Systems Manager to join our growing Internal Technology team. This role is key to our plans to expand both the team and the technology offerings to our growing user base. This role will work closely with the technical members and other Systems Managers in the Information Systems Team to ensure their assigned department(s) technology stack is providing all the required functionality to the business, is aligned with enterprise systems strategy, and suitably secure.
The Systems Manager will take primary ownership of the systems within their department(s) forming the key business partnering link between the department and the centralised systems governance. You will work with senior and junior stakeholders and business units to analyse requirements, define solutions, and implement transformative changes. As part of the newly establishing systems management function within the Information Systems team, you will work closely with engineers and other Systems Managers to establish, and participate in, a robust change management process for all systems within the estate.
You will always be looking for improvements we can make to the systems in your department(s), through system configuration changes, new system implementations, automation, and integration with other systems in the estate. You will be responsible for partnering with your functional department(s) to address complex business challenges, aligning with strategic goals and objectives. Collaborating closely with both our internal IT team and the Head of Information Security to drive technological excellence across your systems estate.
You should be able to work independently and with other team members, taking ownership of all systems assigned to you and inputting to systems management processes within the growing team. The role is business facing, requiring interaction with stakeholders in your assigned department(s) and other departments as required around the business to distill requirements, define objectives, and systems roadmaps that inform our wider systems strategy appropriately, so excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills are a must. We are looking for someone who has a high attention to detail and can hit the ground running. This is a chance to have a significant impact on an organisation where individuals thrive on change and to work within an innovative and growing SME.
Key Responsibilities
- The role is a key role reporting to the Information Systems team, partnering with the growing Finance department to enable the growing requirements of a global business. Notably, there is immediate focus on taking our newly implemented ERP system from a Minimum Viable Product implementation to a well-structured support to the business.

- Systems Configuration: Work closely with the Dynamics 365 F&O Architect (and other members of the support team) to identify key systems changes that can have a positive business impact and implement them accordingly. Take overall ownership for configuration changes (not system changes) within all Finance systems e.g. dimensions in ERP. Ensure all configuration change is appropriately managed, particularly where there are integration points between systems you own and other systems in the business.
- Systems Expertise: Be a Subject Matter Expert within the business for all Finance Systems and configuration, particularly ERP (Dynamics 365 F&O). Advise the wider business on functionality as required and work with the wider support function for the Finance Systems to ensure all users are well trained and supported in their use of the systems.
- Systems Support: Provide systems support for all the Finance systems, primarily to the super users within the Finance department, but also the wider business as required (and working with other members of the team who cover support). Ensure support provided by third party support providers is appropriately prioritised and delivered to SLA.
- Vendor Management: Take ownership of the vendor management for the systems in the Finance department, conducting service reviews etc. Conduct market reviews at appropriate junctures in systems lifecycles. Construct RFPs for new systems that are required in the Finance department and contribute to RFPs of other departments where there are requirements for Finance to use those systems.
- Systems Reporting: Work with other members of the Information Systems team to provide comprehensive reporting on all systems, performance, and user satisfaction under your ownership.
