As part of our Strategy & Origination team, you will identify, evaluate, and shape new product, partnership, and inorganic growth opportunities that support Aurora’s long-term strategic ambitions. You will blend analytical rigour with commercial judgement, working closely with senior leaders and teams across the business to translate market insight into strategic action. This role offers a unique viewpoint on how Aurora scales its impact in the rapidly evolving global energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the evaluation of potential partnership opportunities or M&A targets through analysis of client requirements, sector trends, company profiles, business models, and financial statements.
- Perform business case analysis, including rough‑cut quantifications, scenario assessment, benchmarking and due diligence, to support strategic recommendations.
- Prepare documentation such as company profiles, sector insights, and discussion materials to support origination efforts and strategic presentations.
- Monitor competitor activity and conduct risk assessments to inform strategic planning and mitigate potential threats.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and communications to senior stakeholders translating complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams such as Commercial, Software Solutions, Research and Finance to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Assist in the execution and project management of key strategic initiatives, including new product launches, partnership and inorganic growth plans.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare compelling and succinct presentations and reports for senior management.
- High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, finance, strategy, or a related field.
- Familiarity of the energy industry and data & software analytics space through academic or professional background is a plus.
