The Role

UK Finance Manager (Finance Business Partner UK) – an individual contributor responsible for delivering accurate, insightful financial information that drives decision‑making and supports Auror’s growth across the United Kingdom and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Own the UK region reporting cycle, ensuring numbers are accurate, complete and timely.
• Prepare variance analyses and commentary linking financial results to business performance.
• Maintain reconciliations, journals and compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to explain results, challenge assumptions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards that provide visibility and accountability.
• Identify and manage financial and operational risks, ensuring high standards of governance and compliance, including new European markets.
• Own UK tax and audit compliance – lead audit process, corporate tax filings, VAT requirements and transfer‑pricing alignment.
• Ensure payroll compliance with statutory and reporting requirements.
• Lead forecasting and planning cycles for the UK region, supporting informed commercial decisions.
• Own accounts payable and receivable processes, managing vendor and customer relationships and cash‑flow visibility.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including automation and AI‑enabled improvements.
• Support cross‑functional initiatives and strategic projects, aligning finance operations with Auror’s growth objectives.
• Lead finance workstream for expansion into new European markets, preparing forecasts and assessing compliance obligations.
• Proactively identify and elevate risks before they become problems, providing analysis and recommendations.

Requirements

• 5–7 years experience in accounting, reporting, finance operations or business partnering, preferably in a fast‑growing, multi‑entity or SaaS environment.
• Strong technical accounting skills and the ability to prepare and review financial reporting and compliance.
• Deep understanding of UK and European accounting, payroll, tax and statutory compliance.
• Analytical mindset – translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Business‑partnering skills – influence decision‑making and build trusted cross‑functional relationships.
• Technical proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software, Excel/Google Sheets, AP processes and modern finance systems.
• Experience improving workflows through automation, system optimisation and AI‑driven process enhancements.
• Ownership mindset – take accountability, solve problems and deliver high‑quality work.
• Collaboration and communication skills – articulate financial information clearly across teams.
• Curiosity for process improvement and technology adoption.
