The Role
As our Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate, insightful, and meaningful financial information that drives decision‑making and supports Auror’s growth across the United Kingdom and Europe.
This individual‑contributor role includes ownership of the financial reporting cycle for the UK region, leading operational finance processes, driving transformation initiatives, and acting as a strategic finance partner to business leaders.
The role is hybrid, working from our central London office three days a week.
This role reports to Abby Apter, Director of Finance, NA.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of reporting across the UK region, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, and preparing variance analyses and commentary that link financial results to business performance.
- Maintaining reconciliations, journals, and compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Partnering with stakeholders to explain financial results, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for improvement; developing and maintaining financial reports and dashboards that drive visibility and accountability.
- Identifying and managing financial and operational risks, ensuring high standards of accuracy, governance, and compliance, and establishing core operational processes for new European markets.
- Owning UK tax and audit compliance, including the UK audit process, annual corporate tax filings, VAT requirements, and ensuring intercompany activity aligns with Auror’s transfer‑pricing policy.
- Payroll compliance, ensuring timely and accurate pay processing while adhering to statutory and reporting requirements.
- Leading forecasting and planning cycles for the UK region, helping teams plan effectively and make informed commercial decisions.
- Owning AP and AR processes for the UK region, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, strong vendor and customer management, effective controls, and proactive visibility over cash‑flow impacts, including FX and risk considerations.
- Leading finance transformation initiatives, including automation, process simplification, AI‑enabled process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Supporting cross‑functional initiatives and strategic projects, aligning finance operations with Auror’s broader growth objectives across UK and Europe and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performing finance culture.
- Leading the finance workstream for expansion into new markets in Europe – preparing financial forecasts, considering risks, required processes and compliance obligations.
- Proactively identifying and escalating risks before they become problems, bringing analysis and a recommended course of action.
Requirements
- 5‑7 years of experience in accounting, reporting, financial operations, or finance business‑partnering roles, ideally within a fast‑growing, multi‑entity, or Saa S environment.
- Proven ability to prepare and review financial reporting, manage regional compliance obligations, perform reconciliations, and deliver clear financial analysis and commercial insight.
- Strong understanding of accounting, payroll, tax, and statutory compliance requirements across the UK and Europe.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to translate complexity into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision‑making and build trusted cross‑functional relationships.
- Skilled in Xero or similar accounting software, Excel or Google Sheets, AP processes, and modern finance systems.
Experience improving workflows through automation, system optimisation, and AI‑driven process improvements is highly desirable.
- Accountable for outcomes, proactively solving problems, and consistently delivering high‑quality work that advances team and business goals.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills; communicating financial information clearly across teams, functions, and geographies.
- A curiosity for refining processes, enhancing accuracy, and leveraging technology to make finance more effective, scalable, and insight‑driven.
