Urgently hiring for a leading manufacturer of automation machinery and control systems
Position: Electromechanical Fitter / Installer
As an Electromechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly, installation, and occasional electrical work on bespoke automation machinery and control systems. You will be part of an innovative team working on exciting projects across multiple industries, with opportunities to travel in the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical assembly of automation machinery, conveyors, and sub-assemblies
- Installation and commissioning of machinery at customer sites (UK & overseas)
- Support with basic electrical wiring when required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and method statements
- Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and ensuring high-quality standards
- Occasional overseas travel (approx. 30–40%, up to 2 weeks at a time)
Requirements:
- Apprentice trained and/or qualified Mechanical and/or Electrical Fitter/Assembler
- 3+ years’ experience building/installing industrial machinery or conveyors
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems, valves, and hygienic environments
- Able to read engineering and electrical drawings
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a hands‑on approach
- Eligible to work in the UK and open to travel internationally (USA & Canada)
