Working Arrangement: On-site with regular UK and international travel
We are looking for a hands-on Controls & Robotics Engineer to work on complex automation projects, from programming and integration through to commissioning.
- Key Requirements
- Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal.
- Must be able to write complex PLC software from scratch.
- Proven experience designing, programming, and integrating industrial robots.
- FANUC experience highly desirable; ABB, Kawasaki, Nachi, or similar also considered.
- Experience with HMI, SCADA, and industrial networks such as Ether Net/IP / PROFINET.
- Strong troubleshooting, commissioning, and systems integration experience.
- Experience integrating robots with PLCs, conveyors, sensors and safety systems.
- Comfortable working directly with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Willingness to travel for UK and international projects.
- Conveyor, material handling or intralogistics automation experience.
- Machine vision.
- Bespoke machinery or turnkey automation experience.
- International commissioning experience.
The Opportunity
A hands-on role working across PLC software, robotics, controls and systems integration, with exposure to complex automation projects and international customer sites.
Technical assessment/interview will form part of the recruitment process.
