Technical Trainer in South Australia

We are looking for a Technical Trainer to be based in Kilburn to provide training, assessment and certification of employees and contractors in accordance with relevant standards.

In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our workforce! If you are passionate about training and development and are eager to contribute to the growth and success of our organization, we would love to hear from you.

Some duties of a Technical Trainer will include:

  • Delivery of Certificate IV in train driving in train driving schools, covering subjects like Safeworking, Shunting, Train examination e.g., the things you do as a driver on a daily basis.
  • Delivery of Engine & Airbrake Training Schools
  • Use technology like Virtual Reality (and maybe even driving simulators in the future) to further enhance the training delivery in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Assist operations with on-job assessments where required.
  • Provide support and in field instruction and coaching of rail operations trainees.
  • Help determine the training needs of drivers to identify opportunities for process improvement and ultimately improve the effectiveness of training.

Ideally you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Train Driving or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in training and assessment (or willing to undertake the qualification)
  • Rail industry training experience

This is generally a Monday to Friday role where you get your weekends back and say goodbye to shift work!
