At Draycott we care about care! We are looking for a female live-in carer to support one of our clients.
Salary: Weekdays £138.60 per day, and weekends £148.10 per day, plus food allowance
Location: Windsor
Start date: August 2026

What does a Live-In Carer do? As a live-in carer, you’ll live with your client for the duration of your rota. Depending on the needs of your client, shifts can range from 10-12 hours a day. During this time, you will be able to take breaks. If your client can’t be left alone during your break, cover will be arranged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting a client with a spinal cord injury
- Assisting with moving and handling (competence required)
- Administering suppositories (training will be provided)
- Providing day-to-day personal care and promoting independence
- Offering emotional and mental health support
- Managing and responding appropriately to behaviours that might challenge at times
- Building a trusting, respectful relationship with the client
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in mental health care (essential)
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including spinal injuries or similar conditions
- Confident and competent in manual handling techniques (essential)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Resilient, patient, and empathetic personality
- Willingness to work in a challenging environment and provide consistent, person-centred care
- Female applicants only (due to personal care requirements)
- Working closely with the wider Draycott Head Office support team to ensure the best service for our clients
- Keeping accurate, factual written accounts of your time with the client via our care management app
- Observing and following Draycott Nursing’s Health and Safety policy
- Must be willing and able to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as a mandatory requirement (or show proof of being on the DBS Update Service)
- Must be eligible to work in the UK without the requirement of company sponsorship
