As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations across our food and beverage outlets: Culfords Restaurant (including two private dining rooms 80 covers), the Speakeasy Bar, the Library and In-Apartment Dining. This is a hands-on role that requires leadership by example, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for impeccable service. You will be responsible for supporting a multi-skilled F&B team, ensuring seamless and personalised service delivery, and contributing to the training and development of the team.
A proactive and forward-thinking approach is essential. You will be expected to take initiative in identifying opportunities for service enhancements, ensuring all resident requests and orders are followed up promptly and professionally, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef to bring to life our unique culinary vision and deliver memorable dining experiences to our Residents and their guests.

You will anticipate guest needs, follow up thoroughly, and constantly look for ways to enhance the resident experience. You will ideally have experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or hotel and be eager to grow your leadership skills within a collaborative and inspiring team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations and deputise in their absence.
- Maintain the highest standards of service across all outlets.
- Take initiative to improve the guest experience and resolve service issues swiftly and effectively.
- Train and mentor F&B team members, to consistently deliver the highest level of service.
- Follow up diligently on all resident requests and in-apartment dining orders to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.
- Build meaningful relationships with Residents to understand and anticipate their preferences.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Hygiene regulations.
- Assist with rota planning and labour management to optimise staffing levels.
- Contribute to stock control, ordering, and supplier liaison.
- Drive resident engagement through personalised, thoughtful service.

- Competent in Microsoft Office and hospitality software systems.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in hospitality.
- Background in luxury hotels, private members clubs or fine dining preferred.
- Hospitality or restaurant management qualification desirable.
- Sommelier certification or WSET Level 2+ an advantage.
