A well respected, high-growth organisation based in Central London is looking for a highly motivated and resourceful individual to manage their Portfolio Management team, working onsite with a leading Investment Bank based in London. The VP CRE Portfolio Management will support the Senior Director in leading a team of Asset Managers responsible for managing a portfolio of CRE (Commercial Real Estate) warehouse loans secured by UK and European real estate investments and developments.
You will work closely with the client’s in-house asset management and legal teams, reviewing finance documents before loan closing and throughout the loan's life. The Director will serve as the primary contact for day-to-day loan management and provide ongoing support to the client’s origination team. This is a hybrid role - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
Responsibilities- Assist the Senior Director in leading a team of Asset Managers managing a portfolio of CRE (Commercial Real Estate) warehouse loans secured by UK and European real estate investments and developments for an institutional client.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, ensuring alignments with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with the client's in-house asset management and legal teams to review finance documents before loan closing and throughout the loan's lifecycle.
- Provide ongoing support to the client’s origination team as needed.
- Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day management of each loan.
- Develop financial models and track deliverables and significant loan events as outlined in the finance documents.
- Coordinate with borrowers, facility agents, and their representatives to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Analyse and review waiver and modification requests, assisting in the underwriting process to assess client impact, and present findings to the client’s credit team.
- Examine draft transfers, waterfalls, and Agent/Borrower calculations for accuracy.
- Liaise with third-party advisors, borrowers, and lenders regarding drawdowns and review draw requests to make funding recommendations to the client.
- Prepare internal quarterly and ad-hoc reports using client templates and systems.
- Minimum 7 years’ loan servicing experience in finance, real estate or a related field.
- Solid analytical skills with interim to advanced level ability of Excel.
- Strong organisational and communication skills and must work well within a team.
- Have the personality and resilience to thrive in a fast moving and pressurised environment and be driven/determined to see tasks through to completion.
- The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
