Help shape the commercial success of complex engineering programmes within one of Britain's most respected aerospace and defence manufacturers. An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Cost & Pricing Business Partner to join a world‑leading aerospace engineering organisation whose products are trusted by air forces across the globe. This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Commercial Finance. You will play a key role in helping the business understand how products are built, manufactured, sourced and costed, enabling more accurate pricing, stronger commercial decisions and improved operational performance. Importantly, this is not a traditional finance role.
We are looking for candidates who understand manufacturing, engineering and operational cost drivers and can translate that understanding into robust costing, pricing and commercial decision support.

You will work directly with operational experts, engineers, sourcing teams and commercial stakeholders to improve how products are costed, priced and delivered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain manufacturing cost models for products, programmes and customer opportunities
- Analyse material, labour, overhead and operational cost drivers
- Support pricing activities through robust cost justification and analysis
- Challenge costing assumptions and identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Improve the quality, consistency and accuracy of costing and pricing information
Manufacturing & Engineering Analysis
- Review Bills of Materials (BoMs), manufacturing routings and production processes
- Understand how products are manufactured, assembled and tested
- Analyse labour standards, production activities and operational cost drivers
- Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to validate manufacturing assumptions
Commercial & Supply Chain Support
- Support bid, proposal and commercial activity with detailed cost analysis
- Carry out supplier cost analysis and benchmarking activities
- Collaborate with Procurement and Sourcing teams to improve cost visibility
- Support negotiations through evidence‑based cost modelling and analysis
- Drive improvements across costing, pricing and estimating processes
- Support SAP S4/HANA and ERP‑based process optimisation initiatives
- Improve reporting, data quality and costing governance across the business
