Contract Manager – Contract Manager (India)
An outstanding permanent position for a Contract Manager has arisen with a top‑tier Aerospace / Engineering Defense sector organisation based in Uxbridge, West London / Middlesex.
As a Contract Manager focused with the Indian market, you will work as part of the Commercial department. You’ll be responsible for driving and managing a team to deliver account management of allocated customer accounts, encompassing major bid and proposal preparation, pricing structures and terms and conditions of work.
Key components of the role include conducting complex negotiations, ensuring contract management administration, and senior customer relationship management. You’ll build mutually beneficial relationships with existing clients across the Indian region.
Experience of contract negotiation in the Indian market / region is essential.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team to deliver on all aspects of account management.
- Account & Relationship Management: Oversee allocated customer accounts, manage senior client relationships, and build mutually beneficial partnerships, especially with clients across the Indian region.
- Commercial & Contract Management: Major bid and proposal preparation, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring all contract administration is handled smoothly.
- Navigate complex contractual terms and conditions, procurement practices, and export control regulations.
- Complex Negotiations: Lead and conduct complex negotiations to secure new business and manage existing contracts.

Qualifications & Skills
- Commercial & Contract Management: Knowledge of commercial and contract processes within aerospace and defense sectors, including bid management, pricing techniques, and understanding of international exchange rates.
- Team Leadership: Supervisory skills to lead and coach your team, driving commercial success and ensuring your direct reports achieve their best results.
- Regional Expertise: Experience managing contract negotiations and customer relationships across the Indian/APAC region.
- Customer & Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
