We are currently partnering with a well-established and highly regarded financial services firm to recruit an Associate – Loan Agency within their Commercial Real Estate function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced loan servicing professional to join a sophisticated servicing environment with strong client exposure, complex loan structures, and meaningful responsibility for portfolio performance and accuracy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a portfolio of commercial real estate loans that require regular interaction with borrowers, lenders, participant banks, and internal stakeholders. This role sits within a collaborative, high-performing servicing function and requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency in meeting business-critical deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret credit agreements, promissory notes, and related legal documentation to ensure operational feasibility and data integrity.
- Fund and board new loans onto the core loan servicing system.
- Manage a designated portfolio of CRE loans, including:
- Processing interest, principal, and fee payments
- Advances, payoffs, extensions, and loan modifications
- Rate changes, non-accruals, and charge-offs
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Real Estate – loan servicing or portfolio monitoring.
- Strong understanding of financial products, particularly loans, guarantees, and standby letters of credit.
- Proven ability to interpret complex loan documentation and perform detailed financial calculations.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and macros.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, confident, and able to work independently while escalating issues appropriately.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods when required.
- Willingness to travel periodically (overnight) as needed.
