The Works Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of highways and civil engineering works across the Liverpool City Council Framework and associated contracts. The role provides overall leadership and management of operational delivery teams, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, programme commitments, budget targets, quality standards and company objectives.

The Works Manager will lead multiple construction activities simultaneously, managing Foremen, Supervisors, Engineers and specialist subcontractors. They will work closely with commercial, planning, design and client teams to drive operational performance, maintain strong stakeholder relationships and ensure best practice in health, safety, environmental and quality management.

The position carries responsibility for achieving delivery excellence whilst ensuring compliance with NEC contract obligations, company procedures and statutory requirements.
