Role: Construction Office & Operational Support
Support the day‑to‑day running of a busy construction office. Work closely with the Office Manager to ensure smooth operational delivery across projects. Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and other IT systems to manage documentation, schedules and communication.
Fleet & Equipment Management
Oversee the company fleet, including scheduling 6‑weekly checks, LOLER inspections, lifting equipment checks, MOTs and general vehicle compliance. Coordinate vehicle requests, maintenance, repairs and workshop bookings. Drive company vehicles (vans, small MEWPs, etc.) when required for MOTs, servicing or site support.
Training & Compliance
Maintain the company training matrix and ensure all operatives’ qualifications remain in date. Book training courses, including construction‑specific certifications. Work with the Office Manager to plan future training needs and support staff development. This role offers a structured development pathway, including:
- Plant and machinery training (e.g., NPORS/CPCS)
- Digger and excavator licences
- MEWP and telehandler training
- Opportunities to support site operations as skills develop
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong administrative skills, including Outlook and Excel
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across office and site teams
- Comfortable driving work vehicles when required
- Interest in construction operations and willingness to undertake plant training
