Aureos are seeking a Geotechnical Driller to join our team in Sheffield. The Geotechnical Driller will assist with Windowless Sampling and Rotary Drilling. They will also undertake site walkovers and other aspects of ground investigation.

Primary tasks and duties:

  • Support site investigations, surveys, and data collection activities.
  • Contribute to method statements and risk assessments.
  • Support project planning and progress monitoring.
  • Attend site as required to assist with installation, testing, inspections, and quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate project records and contribute to audits and quality reviews.

Secondary tasks and duties:

  • Engage in structured training and development activities.
  • Work towards professional qualifications (e.g. Level 3 NVQ in Land Drilling supervision).
  • Participate in technical workshops, mentoring sessions, and competency development programmes.

Qualifications and Training:

Essential:

  • NVQ in Land Drilling.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS.
  • Experience in ground investigation activities.
  • Awareness of standards and practice for Ground Investigation.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous Site Experience.
  • Good communication skills—able to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work on site and travel as required.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.

Desirable:

  • PTS.
  • Towing License.
  • Awareness of CDM regulations, health and safety, and quality management systems.
