Aureos is seeking a Project Administrator based in our office in Dumfries. The Project Administrator will be responsible for overseeing aspects of inventory management. This role requires organisation skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft applications as well as the willingness to learn our procurement system Coins.

Day to day tasks involve the purchasing of materials, PPE and site equipment. Keeping track of materials and plant and issuing them out to the correct contracts is important on a commercial perspective as well as asset protection. Liaising with suppliers and the client will be very important to maintain a relationship as you will be working closely with them. The organisation of quarterly stock takes, and a year-end audit will be required as well as organising a bi-yearly LOLER inspection across all contracts in Scotland.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimise stock levels and minimise costs
  • Maintain accurate records and document control for all materials, PPE, tools and plant for tracking and auditing purposes
  • Liaise with suppliers to keep up to date with any new products and lead times
  • Organise and oversee the receiving, inspection, and storage of materials, ensuring proper handling and storage
  • Conduct regular audits and stock takes to track stock levels and minimise any losses
  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment to make sure that they are repaired on time and within the correct inspection period
  • Produce weekly cost reports for the commercial team
  • Plan accordingly the purchasing and organisations of materials for upcoming projects

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in purchasing, order creation, and order management
  • Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Prior experience in utilities or overhead lines is desirable
  • Skilled in supplier research to secure the best pricing and value
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
