Aureos is recruiting a Head of Planning for a recently awarded Energy framework. Working closely with the project team and Senior Management, the primary purpose of this role is the provision of Project Planning and Scheduling ensuring the management of planning and scheduling aspects to the Client specification/contract requirements.

Aureos has a growing capability in the energy market, including major infrastructure solutions and high voltage engineering, as well as decommissioning of redundant wind turbine assets.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure the development, implementation and execution of the Project Schedule and Planning objectives within the contracted work scope
  • Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Where entitlement requires to be demonstrated offering support to the projects teams around training on Compensation Events, Extension of Time (EOT) because of delay/ disruption/ loss of efficiency.
  • Independently apply advanced scheduling and planning techniques and analysis within the project environment, developing, maintaining, and analysing critical path plans and related schedules
  • Provide accurate progress measurement updates and compare with the plan.
  • Resource Profiling Measures to report planned vs. actual

Requirements

  • This is an office-based role and you will be required to be in the office 5 days per week
  • Management of the actively growing Planning Team.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and Oracle Primavera P6
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the utilities on Transmission, Distribution and Renewables projects
  • Ensure that work is conducted in compliance with Company Policies/Procedures and BMS processes
  • Prepare level 3 plans as per the WBS and produce summary level 1 views for reporting/communications.
  • Carrying out critical path analysis and develop milestone tracking systems.
  • Deliverability Metrics to demonstrate forecasting around spend per annum.
  • Planning updates and management templates to measure, monitor and report progress.
  • Planning scenarios for options under consideration.
  • Analysis on mitigation measures and recovery planning and provide input to risk evaluation/analysis exercises.
