Aureos is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in our Rail division in Laindon, Kent. Working within Aureos’ Rail Business Unit, and forming a part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, commercial reporting and maximising profit. Aureos Rail work collaboratively with our customers to deliver critical national infrastructure projects across the UK’s rail network.

Expectations: Targets for the Quantity Surveyor will be set and reviewed on a 6 monthly basis, aligned with the responsibilities and behaviours listed within this job description. The section below will be used to record key targets, which will align with Performance Reviews undertaken via the current Group process.

The Trainee Quantity Surveyor is expected to:

  • Independently contribute to prompt payment of sub-contracts and maintenance of sub-contract liabilities and other trackers.
  • Complete and well organised records.
  • Contribute to the timely production of Cost and value reconciliations.
  • Maintain a professional development log and commit to continuous improvement.
