The BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing the effective implementation, coordination, and governance of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across major construction and infrastructure projects. This role focuses on managing digital design workflows, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation through the integration of BIM technologies. The BIM Manager leads the development and maintenance of detailed 3D models, facilitates collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, and ensures that project deliverables meet quality, accuracy, and timeline requirements. With a strong emphasis on leadership and technical expertise, the BIM Manager plays a key role in promoting digital transformation, embedding best practices, and fostering effective communication among stakeholders to deliver coordinated and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate digital model processes during the design and construction stages.
  • Ensure digital information is accurate, current, secure, compliant and accessible to stakeholders within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Facilitate regular communication, reporting, and collaboration with Project Managers, BIM authors, Information Managers, Document Controllers and stakeholders.
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Understanding of ISO 19650.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of BIM processes, standards, and industry best practices for construction projects.
  • Experience managing and developing model data and deliverables within a Common Data Environment, such as Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • Proficient with BIM software and tools, such as Autodesk Revit and/or Civil3D, and Navisworks Manage.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders during project meetings and lead model design reviews.
  • HND, HNC, or a degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Desirable

  • ISO 19650 Certification.
  • BIM toolset accreditation.
  • Python, Dynamo or API experience in automating processes, or developing bespoke solutions.
