Aureos are currently seeking a Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team in Ashford, Kent. The Learning and Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning initiatives across the organisation. This role ensures the smooth coordination of training programmes, effective management of learning platforms, and the provision of high-quality support to stakeholders to enhance employee development and engagement.

In addition, the role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the monthly group induction programme for new starters, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and well-organised onboarding experience. This includes working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver relevant content, managing logistics, and acting as a key point of contact for new employees.

Working closely with the wider People team, managers, and external providers, the Learning and Development Coordinator maintains accurate learning records, supports reporting and evaluation, and contributes to the continuous improvement of learning processes. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a positive and professional learning experience across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Learning Management System (LMS) Management – HowNow
    • Own the day-to-day administration of the LMS, including course uploads, enrolments, permissions, troubleshooting, and user support.
    • Ensure learning data is accurate, complete, and maintained in a timely manner to support compliance, audit, and reporting requirements.
    • Produce regular reports on learning activity, completion rates, and engagement.
    • Collaborate across teams to build and maintain an annual learning calendar, including campaign launches and themed learning programmes.
    • Support and coordinate the Learning Champions network to promote learning engagement and adoption across the organisation.
  • Group Induction & Onboarding Coordination
    • Coordinate and facilitate the monthly group induction programme for new starters.
    • Organise logistics, schedules, and stakeholder input to ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience.
    • Ensure induction and onboarding materials remain up to date, accurate, and aligned with organisational values and priorities.
    • Track attendance and completion, maintaining accurate records and follow up where required.
  • Learning Content
    • Source, organise, and maintain high quality learning content aligned to business and capability needs.
    • Work closely with subject matter experts to update, refresh, and improve learning materials.
    • Ensure content is accessible, relevant, and clearly structured within the LMS.
  • Facilitation & Learning Delivery Support
    • Support and deliver workshops, webinars, and learning events.
    • Design and create learning materials, resources, and supporting documentation as required.
    • Act as a key point of contact for learners during sessions, responding to queries and providing guidance.
  • Programme Coordination
    • Schedule and coordinate training sessions and development programmes end to end.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external training providers to ensure effective planning and delivery.
    • Manage communications, joining instructions, and logistics to ensure a positive learner experience.
    • Issue training agreements to employees enrolling on third party courses.
  • Reporting, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor learning attendance, completion rates, and learner feedback.
    • Produce regular reports and insights to support L&D metrics and decision making.
    • Use data and feedback to support continuous improvement of learning programmes, processes, and content.
  • Early Careers Support
    • Support onboarding and development activities for apprentices, graduates, interns, and other early careers programmes.
    • Maintain accurate records of programme participants, progress, and learning activity.
    • Provide mentoring and support to work experience (WEX) and T Level placement candidates.
  • Budget and Administration
    • Process invoices related to L&D activity in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Maintain learning and development budget trackers and support basic financial reporting.
  • Compliance and Governance
    • Ensure all L&D documentation, records, and learning data comply with GDPR and internal audit requirements.
    • Support internal audits, quality assurance activities, and governance processes as required.
  • Ad hoc Projects and Support
    • Contribute to organisational development initiatives and L&D projects as needed.
    • Support the creation of learning communications and promotional materials for campaigns and initiatives.
    • Respond promptly to learning and development queries from employees and stakeholders.
    • Manage and complete L&D booking requests, ensuring a smooth and positive learner experience.
    • Attend and represent Aureos at external events where required, including STEM events, recruitment fairs, and roadshows.

You will support and contribute to additional initiatives or priorities as directed by the Senior Leadership Team, aligned with organisational needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a Learning & Development, HR, People, or Training coordination role.
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, enrolments, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience coordinating training programmes, workshops, or onboarding activities.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling data and records.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements in a learning or HR context.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent L&D/HR qualification).
  • Experience facilitating training sessions, inductions, or workshops.
  • Experience supporting early careers programmes (apprentices, graduates, interns, WEX or T-Levels).
  • Experience working with learning platforms such as HowNow or similar systems.
  • Experience creating or curating digital learning content.
  • Familiarity with learning evaluation methods and L&D metrics.
  • Experience working with external training providers or consultants.
