Aureos IDEC are recruiting for a Project Manager to work on our Substation projects in the Scottish Power MANWEB region. As a Project Manager you will be a part of our Substation installation team refurbishing and building new HV/EHV (up to 132kV) outdoor compounds and control rooms including associated switchgear, transformers, cabling, disconnectors and structures. In this fast-paced role, you’ll coordinate and supervise construction activities from commencement through to final completion, acting as Principal Contractor/Contractor for the Client.
Project Manager duties will include the following:
- Preparation and monitoring of all site specific Health and Safety documentation
- Adherence to Aureos Project Management Procedures
- Undertake the role of CDM Principal Contractor/Contractor
- Management of all site resource and material orders
- Ensuring that all site staff have completed relevant training, are suitably authorised and are within re-test dates
- Management of the Programme ensuring delivery is within budget, on time and to the required quality
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and senior management regarding all aspects of the project including internal and external metrics reporting and KPI’s
- Management of project budget and contract change control process, Scope Changes and variations in line with defined Contract Management Procedures
- Preparation of project tendering information including project pricing documentation
Skills & Knowledge Requirements (Desirable):
- HNC/HND Electrical Engineering
- APM or equivalent Project Management qualification
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Experience of working/managing projects within HV substations (up to 132kV)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Ability to manage project financial records
- Ability to manage several projects of varying values at one time
- IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Full driving license
