Aureos have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team based in Peterborough. Our electricians are at the heart of what we do, delivering essential electrical works that keep our customers' operations running safely and efficiently. You'll work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, supporting installation, maintenance, and testing across a diverse range of sites, ensuring that every job is completed safely, to standard, and with pride.

The successful candidate will integrate into a small operational team working on a national contract at MOD sites covering Eastern England from Lincoln to Ipswich. The successful candidate must hold current training up to 18th Edition, including Inspection & Testing C&G2391, and be capable of obtaining full MoD SC clearance.

Tasks and duties:

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and testing in line with BS7671 and Aureos policies and procedures.
  • Set out jobs from drawings and specifications, requisition materials, and ensure all works are completed to the highest standard.
  • Commission and test electrical systems and issue relevant certification.
  • Fault-find and carry out remedial works.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers where required.
  • Support and mentor apprentices or trainees as part of your daily role.
  • LV electrical EICR.
  • Emergency light testing.
  • PAT testing.
  • Working at Height.
  • Managing sub-contractors to complete their specialist tasks, and various small electrical install projects.

Qualifications, training and skills:

  • Individual must be reliable and time conscious with a proactive approach.
  • Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2).
  • City & Guilds (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection, Testing and Certification) - desirable.
  • ECS Card.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A strong focus on safety and quality.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in working with Office 365 software to complete worksheets and certificates.
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience.
