Aureos are seeking a Plant Administrator to join their team in Crewe.

The Plant Administrator supports transmission construction and maintenance projects by managing all administrative, logistical, and compliance processes relating to plant, equipment, tools, and fleet used on HV substations and overhead line works. They ensure all plant is available, compliant, safe, cost‑effective, and recorded accurately, enabling field teams to deliver work efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the booking, allocation, and tracking of plant, tools, MEWPs, lifting equipment, generators, and specialist HV equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate plant register for all transmission projects (substations, OHL, cable routes).
  • Coordinate deliveries, collections, off‑hire, and transfers between sites.
  • Ensure plant is available to meet project schedules and minimise downtime.
  • Track expiry dates and schedule inspections, servicing, and statutory testing.
  • Support site teams with RAMS, equipment registers, and safety documentation.
  • Liaise with approved suppliers for hire, repair, servicing, and replacement of plant.
  • Track hire costs, utilisation, off‑hire dates, and cost codes.
  • Maintain accurate digital records for:
    • Plant registers
    • Certificates & inspections
    • Delivery notes
    • Off‑hire confirmations
    • Purchase orders
    • Calibration logs

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in construction, utilities, or engineering administration.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, SharePoint, asset management systems).
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly organised and detail‑focused
  • Strong communicator
  • Able to build relationships with site teams and suppliers
  • Safety‑conscious and compliance‑driven
  • Problem‑solver with a calm, professional approach
