Aureos are seeking a Management Accountant to join our team in Crewe.
The Management Accountant supports the organisation by delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and strong commercial guidance. This role ensures financial performance is understood, controlled, and improved, enabling strategic decision‑making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly Management Accounts — Prepare, analyse, and present monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Budgeting & Forecasting — Lead the budgeting cycle, produce rolling forecasts, and support departmental budget holders.
- Financial Analysis — Provide variance analysis, trend reporting, and commercial insights to drive performance.
- Cost Control — Monitor costs, identify inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations — Maintain accurate reconciliations and ensure financial integrity.
- Cashflow Management — Support cashflow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Business Partnering — Work closely with operational teams to interpret financial data and influence decision‑making.
- Process Improvement — Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, enhance controls, and improve efficiency.
- Compliance & Audit Support — Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
- Systems & Reporting — Maintain financial systems, develop dashboards, and improve reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Strong experience in management accounting, ideally within a commercial or operational environment
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools
- Experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
