We are seeking an experienced and hard-working Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team. This role involves supporting the kitchen operations to ensure residents receive quality meals and service in a care home setting.
Responsibilities
- To ensure COSHH requirements are met at all times.
- To wash up with respect for all equipment.
- To ensure kitchen floor and work surfaces are thoroughly disinfected daily.
- To ensure dishwasher cleaning schedule is adhered to.
- To ensure tea trolley is set up and ready for use throughout the day.
- Where applicable, wipe all bedroom tables thoroughly when collecting food trays.
- To empty bins regularly and dispose of waste bags.
- To ensure tables are laid in dining room.
- To prepare and deliver trays of hot or cold drinks with biscuits for visitors/relatives as required.
- Any other ad hoc duties within the role.
Qualifications and qualities
- Must have previous kitchen assistant experience.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, with creativity and passion for the work.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to follow and prioritise tasks and responsibilities.
