Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare special diet meals in accordance with instructions from the care staff.
  • Ensure a high level of service for all meal times.
  • Complete all documentation relating to HACCP.
  • Report any defects to equipment to the Home Manager.
  • Ensure good quality and portion control.
  • Assist Head Chef with four weekly menu planning.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties to meet service delivery for residents.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous cooking experience.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, showing creativity and passion for the work.
  • Strong focus on following and prioritising tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Great communication skills.

Benefits

  • Part time contract.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week, including weekend work.
  • Pay: £15 per hour, equivalent to £23,400 per annum.
  • Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata for part time).
